The New Saeco Brewing System - "SBS"
The Talea Giro offers the new Saeco Brewing System that allows you to make an endless variety of coffees with just one automatic machine and the simple turning of knob. Whether it is a strong Italian coffee (turning the knob to the right) or an American-style long coffee (turning the knob to the left) SBS concentrates all the aroma in the cup, offering a truly full flavor and all the pleasure of a splendid creamy coffee that is perfect every time.
Fully Automatic Espresso & Coffee Brewing
Do you like to start your day with an espresso, but don’t
want to have to clean up the mess? Just press the button and the Talea Giro will
automatically grind your coffee beans, and dispense freshly brewed, rich and flavorful
coffee into your cup. This machine allows you to choose the volume and strength of your
coffee or espresso by simply pressing buttons on the control panel. Then it cleans up and
is ready for the next order in less than 30 seconds. Press the brew button once for a
single espresso or coffee. Pushing the brew button twice quickly will put a double shot of
espresso or coffee in your cup.
Utilize the enormous flexibility of this machine’s programming options by varying the
water volume up to 7 ounces and the ability to use up to 9 grams of ground coffee per
brewing cycle. By experimenting with the water volume and grams of ground coffee you can
fine-tune your coffee and easily program these parameters into the memory.
Ceramic Coffee Grinder
The ceramic grinder is Saeco's most recent innovation. After careful research, Saeco
finally chose this material to put an end to grinding with metal components. Indeed
ceramic is inert, and thus ensures the best results without altering the flavor of coffee.
The new ceramic grinder also provides a more even grind, allowing perfect dosing and
blending, and giving you more control over the density and body of your coffee. And that's
not all: the amount of coffee residue left in the cup is sizably reduced.
Long-lasting, minimum noise! Thanks to its sturdy build, the ceramic coffee-grinder
will quietly go on grinding to the same high standard for a long time.
Pre-Ground Coffee Option
This option allows you to pour pre-ground coffee into a funnel that is accessed by lifting a small lid on top of the machine. This feature is perfect when there is someone in the crowd who wants a decaffeinated espresso and there are only caffeinated espresso beans in the machine, or if you wish to sample other blends of coffee. Select the "pre-ground" option, then pour pre-ground coffee of your choice into the special coffee receptacle on top of the machine, then push the brew button. After making a cup of coffee with the pre-ground option, the machine automatically resets back to the beans held in the machine. It’s all up to the taster’s choice.

Rapid-SteamŪTechnology
We’re all steamed up about Saeco's patented Rapid-SteamŪ system! Turn the steam knob
and have instant steam for cappuccinos or lattes. Other systems can have you waiting up to
45 seconds for the steam function to be ready but not with Rapid-SteamŪ; you’ll have
consistent steam for repeated drinks.
The special milk frothing tip delivers perfect foam every time for lattes or cappuccinos,
even if you have never foamed milk before! The steam wand is located on the right front of
the machine and it accommodates frothing pitchers up to 32 oz. If you need instant hot
water for making tea, hot cocoa, or Americanos, the hot water feature is available at the
press of a button.
Special Pre-infusion Brew System Cycle
Pre-infusion allows you to get maximum flavor from the
brewing process. This advanced system takes the newly ground coffee beans from the
internal coffee grinder and correctly tamps the coffee. Next comes “pre-infusion”.
The grounds are pre-soaked and then brewed before being discarded automatically into the
internal dump box. The machine then resets itself for the next brewing cycle.

Built-in 57 Ounce Water Tank
The water reservoir can easily be refilled while it is
still on the machine or by removing it with the easy-grip handle and filling it at the
kitchen tap. The reservoir is made of clear ABS plastic so checking the water level is a
breeze.

Delivering a maximum pressure of 15 bars, this on board water pump pulls the maximum
flavor from the coffee beans.

hopper. When the coffee grounds are spent, the machine delivers them to the internal
dump box; which can hold up to 15 expended coffee portions. It’s easy to remove and

the reasons the Talea Giro is great for anything from small commercial settings to home or
office use, is its durable 1200 watt stainless steel boiler. It provides for continuous
use or a lot of servings over a short time period. There is a cup-stacking surface so you can keep your
favorite espresso cups close by. The machine uses a system of lights and indicators to
help you monitor the brewing process and signal when the machine needs to be re-supplied
with water or coffee beans and when it needs to be cleaned. Adjustable Drip Tray The machine has an automated adjustable height drip tray that raises or lowers the cups below the coffee dispensing spouts. By pressing the button on the drip tray either up or down, a motor will automatically raise or lower the tray to the desired height depending on the height of your espresso cups or coffee mugs. With Aqua Prima the number of flavor-altering substances found in water are reduced, and any micro-particles and impurities are filtered.
